Murray Brand Communications designed a new logo and packaging architecture for Superior Grocers’ It’s Superior private label brand. As a base element for all designs, large photographic images were incorporated into layouts recognizing that English as a second language consumers often rely on pictures rather than words to inform their purchase decisions. Bright and energized colors similar to those found in Hispanic tiendas and bodegas were then introduced as intersecting arcs to stage product information and differentiate sub-brand lines and flavors as the new look was extended to more than 50 SKUs.
