Seeking a package design with a unique and ownable brand personality, Unified Grocers partnered with Murray Brand Communications to design the new look for its Golden Creme line of dairy products. After conducting brand equity research, Murray Brand determined an iconic logo would be essential if a memorable identity and a fun and whimsical brand essence were to be achieved.  This led to the creation of a new brandmark in which a playful, sunglass-wearing cow serves as a primary visual and links the brand, primarily sold in Southern California, to the region’s well-known beach scene. Staging a colored vertical banner on a dairy-blue background anchors the new logo and works in combination with product serving suggestions and flavor names to communicate a rich and rewarding taste experience while differentiating between SKUs.
